Cascadia RVW Board Meeting
July 19, 2008
Board Members Present: Dorene Thomas, Alice Burk,
The meeting was called to order by President Dorene Thomas at 8:35 a.m. at
Minutes: The minutes from the previous meeting were accepted as written and posted to the web site.
Treasurer’s Report: There is a bank balance of $4,610.35 as of July 13, 2008. The Treasurer’s Report will be filed for audit.
Other Reports:
President’s Report: Dorene Thomas reported that the August event in Surry, B.C. has been cancelled. Two members had previously won a raffle for two free nights at that event. The Board voted unanimously to pay for two free nights at one of the other events this year.
Event Coordinator’s Report: Alice Burk reported that the August event will be held at the
Unfinished Business: A catering service will provide the Saturday evening dinner the October event in Lynden. They will charge $12 per person which will include two kinds of lasagna, salads, bread, and dessert.
A motion was made and seconded that Cascadia pay for dinners at $12 per person at the October event in Lynden. The motion passed.
There will also be a Trade Fair at the October event for members to show and sell their wares.
New Business: There was discussion on voting for officers at the October meeting. As of now each office has only one candidate. Members will be notified that they can request an absentee ballot from Dorene, and they should send their completed ballot to Judy Polenske.
