Event Description

Our annual Canada event will take us about 30 miles east of Vancouver, B.C. to the historic village of Fort Langley.The Langley area was the first part of the lower mainland of British Columbia where a European settlement was established. Fort Langley was built in 1827 under the direction of James McMillan, Chief Trader of the Hudson's Bay Company.

Registration

We have 25 sites reserved. Registration closes August 20, 2012 or when we fill our reserved spots, whichever comes first. Before the registration deadline, use the online tool to sign up for this event. Be sure to print the registration confirmation page for your records and note deposit requirements.

Late Registration Process
After the registration deadline, contact the park directly for space available. If so, sign up with the park then contact the registrar to let her know you will be attending.

Your Favorite Things...
If you would like to share one or two interests or hobbies you enjoy with fellolw Cascadians -for example, do you like to bike, hike, do puzzles, go fishing, make quilts, play games, spend quiet time reading - there is a box labeled "Notes" on the online tool for you to add comments and/or interest before the registation deadline. If you are registerng after the open online registration you can include this information when you contact the registrar with your registration details. Our goal here is to help people with like interests identify each other. About a week before the event we will send an email to all registrants with a list of names of everyone who has signed up, along with their interests.

Cost
$39.00 per night includes full hookup, cable and free WiFi. Site price for 2 people, any additional people requires $2 per person per night. Dog fee required for all dogs with max 2 per site, fee is $2 per dog per night.

Site Assignments
Sites are assigned by the park unless otherwise indicated. If you have special requirements, please indicate it in the Notes section of the registration online tool.

Early Arrival/Late Departure
Call the park directly now to request your early arrival/late departure, and indicate your early arrival/late departure on the registration online tool. After the registration deadline, contact the park regarding extra days.

Cancellation Instructions

No-shows will be asked to reimburse Cascadia for any charges levied upon the club by the park.

Prior to the registration deadline, contact the registrar to cancel. After the registration deadline, contact the park to cancel and then notify the registrar.

Things to do Nearby

  • Visit the historic village of Fort Langley, birthplace of British Columbia
  • Walk or bike the Fort -to-Fort trail that links the Hudson's Bay Fort with Fort Langley ( "Excellent, mostly flat biking," according to Linda James. It's a great way to enjoy both the village and the regional park. So bring your bikes.
  • Wine tasting at the Fort Wine Co
  • Visit the Mountain View Conservation Centre, a world-renowned wildlife conservation centre dedicated to the breeding and re-introduction of rare & endangered wildlife species
