Event Description

Located along beautiful Hood Canal, Hoodsport is known as the "Gateway to the Olympics".  The area offers all kinds of activities from fishing, hiking and shellfish gathering to wine tasting and shopping.

This weekend we will have a special treat, an Oyster Roast and Clambake provided by the park!  The clam chowder and the rest of the fixings will be Potluck.  See more details for Saturday's dinner to the right.

 

Registration

All registration for this event is now closed.  Please do not contact the park.

Cost:

Waterside, 2 nights $65.52 (includes taxes)
Parkside, 2 nights $55.60 (includes taxes)

General Schedule

 

Friday

• 5:30 - Social Hour
• 6:00 - Potluck (finger foods)
 

Saturday Morning

• 8:30 - Share coffee in clubhouse (bring your own cup)
 

Saturday Afternoon

•Activities in or near the park include eagle watching, renting a kayak, taking a scuba lesson, watching the salmon spawn, treating yourself to the unique seafood delights in the seafood market, walking the nature trail or just kicking back.
 


 

 

Other possible Saturday activities include:

• Games in the clubhouse featuring Cribbage, Mexican Train, or whatever game you want to bring
• Visiting the Hoodsport Winery
• Digging for clams and oysters for dinner

 

Saturday Evening

• 5:30 - Social Hour
• 6:00 -
Oyster Roast, Clambake, and Chowder Potluck. Oyster and clambake will be provided by the park or you can dig and bring your own to bake. If you don't like baked oysters or clams, bring a favorite Chowder (clam, fish, corn, salmon). Otherwise bring a salad or bread to share.

7:30 - Writer and playwright Rebecca Redshaw will perform "Dear Jennifer", a two act play with audience participation. Adapted from her novella, the play reveals not only the difficulties of being accepted by one’s family but the struggle in being true to one’s self.

 

Sunday Morning

• 8:30 - Coffee Hour
• 9:30 - Rig Christening
 

Volunteers Needed

We have our "Hi There Girls" for this event, but please consider volunteering next time.  "Hi There Girls" greet people upon arrival, give hugs, and welcome newcomers.

We have our "Bandana Divas" for this event, but please consider volunteering next time.  "Bandana Divas" help with table set-ups, tidying up and being available to help as needed.
