New Rule Passed Re: No Shows

The chapter experienced a higher than usual number of no-shows at events last season, so in response to a motion passed during the October general meeting, the board passed a new Cascadia Rule (#7) at its January meeting to deal with the issue. The wording is as follows:

Rule #7 - Members registered for an event who have not cancelled ahead of time will be considered a "no show" and will forfeit an amount equal to one night's fee if the member has not shown up by Saturday morning of an event without having notified the park of their intention not to attend.

So, be sure to read the cancellation instructions for each event you plan to attend and follow them so that Cascadia doesn't hurt it's good reputation with the parks we visit. To read the other Cascadia rules, click here.

Time to Pay Your 2012 Cascadia Dues

Happy New Year, Cascadia! It's that time of year again to pay your $5 Cascadia dues. The Treasurer, Suzanne Larson, is prepared to receive your money for the upcoming season, so please send your checks to her:
620 227th St #103
Des Moines, WA 98198.
Paying the $5 chapter membership fee, however, helps the chapter have a stable base of funding to support its activities, such as paying for this website, paying the substantial deposits that many parks require, and the meals, prizes, decorations, etc. that you will enjoy at many of our events.
