The Cascadia chapter was born in 1999 while the RVW national convention was being held in Enumclaw, WA. A number of attendees from Washington and British Columbia signed a petition to form a new chapter, and over that winter, RVW approved our Chapter. Barbara J. Nelson is considered our "founding mother," as she led the organizational effort to form the chapter, and led the first organized events during the 2000 season until the first elections were held. From those small beginnings, the Cascadia Chapter has continued to grow rapidly  through the years and is now the largest and probably most active RVW chapter in the nation.
